Looking back on some of this years commissions - This engagement ring was a delight to make.⁠
⁠
Set in rich 18ct yellow gold my client personally choose this half a carat pear cut diamond from a selection I had sourced for him.⁠
⁠
He had decided on this one for its slightly wider pear shape, usually this cut is longer in length than width. This diamond was more compact giving this ring a lovely balanced composition.⁠
⁠
Flanked on both sides of the diamond we added tiny green diamonds as a nod toward his fiancée's homeland and her favourite colour.⁠
⁠
The pear cut diamond, green gemstones and narrow band was all parts of the brief my client had specified in our first consultation.⁠
⁠
For the rest of the design I was given free rain to produce something slightly unusual and delicate.⁠
⁠
My final design of the fluted cups setting worked beautifully with his chosen pear diamond and I feel it may feature again, maybe with a round diamond next time - watch this space 😉⁠

My first images shows nature setting the perfect angles for these baby acorns. ⁠
