Care of Jewellery
Every care is taken to make sure your piece of jewellery is made to the highest standard and reaches you in perfect condition. So like many objects, jewellery will only last as long as the care you give them, so please look after your jewellery.
When not wearing your jewellery please store flat and in padded boxes or the original box it came with.
Don’t wear your jewellery swimming or gardening, as chlorine can discolour the metal and soil is extremely abrasive to the surface of metals and most stones.
Jewellery with stones – keep an eye on the stones and their settings, as knocks and bumps to your jewellery during wear can loosen settings over time. If you feel any of your stones are spinning or rocking please contact me ASAP and stop wearing the jewellery until it can be rectified. I offer a check up service for my own designs which is free, but customers would need to pay for the return Royal Mail Special Delivery postage for which the charge is £8. The check up service is just a precautionary measure to check the jewellery hasn’t been damaged during wear.
Please note that due to the hand made techniques applied to each piece, no two items of jewellery are exactly the same. Please allow for these variations.
All orders for rings are made to order so it is the customers responsibility to provide the correct size. Please see info on ordering.
Please note not all the designs can be altered easily if incorrect, so please be aware there could be a charge on some alterations.
Please be aware that with wear, the finish will become worn: the matt finish will become more shiny and the polished finish will become duller. This can happen quite quickly, especially with jewellery that will get continuous heavy wear, like rings and bangles.
I am happy to refinish the jewellery, charging only for the return Royal Mail Special Delivery postage for which the charge is £8.
Bespoke and Gold/Platinum orders are made to measure, therefore are non returnable and non refundable.
